Resources for Parents Who Have Suffered a Miscarriage
One of the reasons I started writing about my grief was because it helped me to process things. But I also wanted to share my thoughts and feelings on the matter with other grieving fathers and mothers, so that they might know that they are not alone.
In order to further help these fathers and mothers, I have created a page on this site called "Miscarriage Resources." You can find it in the navigation bar at the top of the site. (For those viewing on your smartphone, just click the grey bar that says "Home," and you'll see a list of pages, including the new "Miscarriage Resources" page.)
The "Miscarriage Resources" page will collect the various blogs, books, and organizations that have been a source of healing or comfort to my wife and me. Below is a look at what I've gathered so far, and I'll add more over time. May these resources be as helpful to you - or your loved ones - as they have been to us.

From Father to Father: Letters from Loss Dad to Loss Dad
This book by Emily Long is a collection of letters written by loss fathers, for loss fathers. I was honored to be allowed to contribute to this book. I dedicated a blog post to this book back when it was released, which you can find here. You can purchase the book on Amazon.
You Are Not Alone: Letters from Loss Mom to Loss Mom
Before From Father to Father, Emily Long collected letters written by loss moms to other loss moms. My wife told me that this book was the most comforting of any books she read after our losses. It is a very powerful experience reading a letter written to you, for you, by someone who - more than most - understands what you are going through. You can purchase this book on Amazon.
Blogs
A Blog About Miscarriage
Mandi and her husband David are a Catholic couple who have lost four children to miscarriage - Francis Michael, Julian Gabriel, Adrienne Rafael, and Christian Michael. Mandi writes about - among other topics - the pain of miscarriage, honoring her children in heaven, and dealing with family and friends who don't quite understand what she's going through. You can find her blog here, or Like or Follow her Facebook page here.
Organizations/Websites
Catholic Miscarriage Support
This website was one of the most helpful resources for my wife after our miscarriages. It is full of resources for parents who have suffered loss. On the practical side, there is information about what happens next - what your medical options are for delivery, how to talk to children and others about the loss, options for funerals or memorials, etc. There are also articles about spiritual and emotional support, as well as a whole host of links to other books, services, and websites that might help. You can find all of this at www.catholicmiscarriagesupport.com.
Thanks for reading! If you like my blog, and you'd like to receive emails each time I upload a new post, you can enter your email address below. You can find other posts about miscarriage by clicking Miscarriage Posts in the navigation bar.
If you would like to send a few pennies my way (which I use to pay for hosting the site), you can use my Amazon links to purchase any of the items I have recommended, or anything at all from Amazon. Alternatively, you can click the Amazon link here, and then proceed with your Amazon shopping.
